We heard several other in our group rave about this particular restaurant, "Aubergine". The recomendation was excellent as we had perhaps the best meal of our trip there. I don't know what they do to grill their meat but Kate had the best steak I have ever tried. My meal was a special on the menu, a lamb goulash on aubergine puree. Also excellent.
We mentioned to one of the waiters that we might return the next evening. As it was to be our final evening we didn't hesitate to make a b-line straight back. After taking a roundabout route to avoid all the other restaurants that we "promised" to visit we showed up to a warm greeting as the staff recognized us instantly. They had even saved a table for us with a sign that said "ksdk kjvv khas" or whatever "the dude with the glasses" is in Turkish.
